DVLA lists Group Nexus's companies separately: CP Plus made 645,127 (up 27% on 2024/25) and Parking Control Management made 224,721 (up 5.8% on 2024/25) keeper-record requests in 2025/26 - 869,848 between them, about 2,383 a day. At POPLA, 3,638 appeals against Group Nexus were decided in the year to 30 September 2025 and 14.7% were allowed (across all operators, POPLA allowed 21.5%). Another 1,150 ended without a decision because one side withdrew.

Grounds that work against Group Nexus

- The signs were missing, unclear or obscured, so no contract was formed where you parked.
- The Notice to Keeper did not meet Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, so the keeper is not liable.

How long do I have to appeal a Group Nexus parking charge?
You normally have 28 days from the date on the notice to make a first-stage appeal directly to Group Nexus. Appealing promptly also protects the discounted rate. Never pay while you intend to appeal - paying is usually treated as admitting liability and ends the appeal.
What happens if Group Nexus rejects my appeal?
Group Nexus is a member of the BPA, so a rejected first-stage appeal can be escalated - for free - to POPLA (Parking on Private Land Appeals). Group Nexus must give you a verification/reference code to do this, and you generally have 28 days from the rejection to use it.
Is a Group Nexus parking charge a fine I have to pay?
No. A Group Nexus "Parking Charge Notice" is a private invoice for an alleged breach of contract - not a statutory fine like a council Penalty Charge Notice. It is only enforceable if Group Nexus can show a valid contract (clear signage) and, to pursue the registered keeper, that it followed Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.
