Frequently asked questions about using AppealIQ.
How does AppealIQ generate a letter?
You provide the PCN details and your reason for appealing. AppealIQ sends those details to an AI model trained to write formal UK parking appeals referencing the Traffic Management Act 2004, the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions regulations, and the BPA/IPC codes of practice. You always review the draft before using it.
How many letters can I generate?
You can browse AppealIQ without an account. To generate or save a letter you sign in (it’s free to create an account), and every account includes one free letter generation per calendar month. Your allowance resets at the start of each month.
Which reasons can I appeal under?
Unclear signage, mitigating circumstances, procedural error, vehicle sold, medical emergency, or other. Pick the one that best fits your situation and add any supporting context in the additional details box.
Is this legal advice?
No. AppealIQ produces a draft letter to assist you. It is not a substitute for professional legal advice. Always check the letter is accurate before submitting it to the council or issuer.
What do the appeal statuses mean?
Draft — saved but not yet sent. Submitted — you have sent it to the issuer. Won — the appeal was accepted. Lost — the appeal was rejected. You can update the status from each appeal’s page.
How do I send my appeal?
Copy the letter or download it as a PDF, then submit it through your council or private operator’s official appeals channel (usually online, by post, or by email) before the deadline on your notice.
